AC3 Kidd Gloves Guide - Oak Island Puzzle Solutions

Assassin's Creed 3 Kidd Gloves Trophy / Achievement Guide

Before you can uncover the mystery of Oak Island for the Kidd Gloves trophy / achievement, you must first find all 24 trinkets and bring them to Peg Leg at the homestead harbor. You must then complete four naval missions with the trinket icon, then you'll have access to Oak Island.

When you're on the island you're going to have to find four different vantage points, and with eagle vision, line up a puzzle with different landmarks on the map.

The very first place you should go is here:
Climb up the branch of the tree where the tip of the arrow is. Continue climbing until you find the icon at the tip of one of the branches. Then, line up the solution like so:

Make your way through the swamp to the rock in the middle of the water, and climb to the top.
And line up the solution like so:

Then, make your way up this tree. You can simply walk up to it, then use the fork in the tree to climb up to the top.
And enter this solution:

The final spot is on top of this rock, where I am standing.
Line up the puzzle like this, and the treasure location will be pointed out on your map:

A green marker will appear on your map, indicating the location of the treasure. Once you enter the area, three wolves will attack. Kill them without using ranged weapons and without taking more than 30% damage for full sync.

Once you open up the 'money pit', dive down and navigate your way through the caverns. You'll eventually come to the treasure. The cavern will begin to collapse once you take it; if you make it out with your life the treasure of Oak Island is yours!

AC3 Boston / New York Underground Tunnel Map & Puzzle Solutions

If you're planning on getting full sync in Assassin's Creed 3, completing the underground map is a very good place to start, as they unlock fast travel stations all across Boston and New York. If you're in the last few chapters of the game, or have already finished the story, you'll be able to access every part of the underground.

In order to enter the underground system, you need to look for the entrances, marked by the fast travel icon on your map. They should look something like this:

Once you found the entrance, all you need to do is follow the paths to the other underground entrances around the city. When you find a door, you'll either have to pick lock it open, or complete either a crank shaft or lantern puzzle. Pick locks are easy enough, and crank shafts are pretty easy too. Most of the time you can just spin them around until you find the solution. Lantern puzzles take a little more time; in the room you're in you should be able to find a note. It'll contain clues to the puzzle solution. Or just look below for the solutions I found for you.

Exploring the underground - tips:

-You can completely ignore all of the dead ends; there isn't any bonus for exploring it all, nor are there any hidden chests or items.
-There are also lamps that can be lit throughout the underground system, although they are mostly a waste of time. I only lit the ones in areas that I had to go back to a few times.
-If you see a stone circle on the floor, light the lamp nearby, and the direction you should be going should light up. Eagle vision is also useful when you come to forks in the path.
-There are many obstacles in the tunnels which you'll need to navigate around. Look out for red doors; there should be a nearby powder keg which can destroy them.
-If you open a door, sometimes the fast travel icon won't unlock. Simply go through the door to the surface and it'll unlock.
-Before you enter, make sure you have a lot of ammo!

Assassin's Creed 3 - Fastest Money Making Method - Bear Island Guide + Location

The best way to make fast, easy money in Assassin's Creed 3 is to sell perfect bear pelts by naval convoy to St. Augustine. There's a couple things you need to do in order to start using this method, but once you do all this you can simply set the convoy in action, and wait for your huge profits to roll in.

First, unlock naval trade

In order to unlock the ability to perform naval trade, you must do the homestead mission for Lance when he collects his tools from Boston. This is unlocked in the 9th sequence I believe. Once you complete this the naval convoy recipe will be unlocked. You can then go to your crafting bench in the Homestead, and find the recipe in the 'Special items' section of the crafting page. The recipe for the convoy is Oak Bark, Spruce Lumber, Bear Grease, and a level 2 woodworker. There's a capacity upgrade available for the convoy as well. The recipe is Maple Lumber, Kindling and a level 3 woodworker. This will allow up to 10 items per trade.

Collect perfect bear pelts

The most valuable item to collect is bear pelts. When collecting them, try to use your hidden blade so that they are in the best condition, and fetch the best price. My favourite place to hunt bears is 'bear island' in the Frontier. Here is the location on the map:

'Bear Island', indicated by the marker on the map. North-Eastern Frontier.
Fast travel to the icon in the north part of this map and run south to this island. Here you should be able to find as many as 10 bears roaming around. Kill them all as cleanly as you can for their perfect pelts. I then fast travel back to the edge of the Frontier and run back down to reset their spawns. Repeat as often as you'd like!

Optional - reduce the risk and maximize profits!

All convoys have a risk. Even when you reduce your risk as much as possible there will still be a 5% chance that you'll come out empty handed. In order to get your risk level down to only 5%, you need to complete the naval missions which are on the way to your destination. All pelts are sold for the highest price to St. Augustine, so complete these three naval missions. They're all really fast and easy, you just need to take out a few ships.
To make the most out of your convoys, you want to reduce your taxes. I liberated every fort in the game, so I have 0% tax, meaning all the profit from convoys goes to me.

Set your convoy

Go back to your homestead and start sending out your convoys. Select your naval convoy, and set it to selling 10 bear pelts to St. Augustine, which should fetch 1560 coins per pelt, if they are in the best possible condition. In 32 minutes of you'll find 15,000+ coins added to your purse. Not too bad!
During this time I usually also set other convoys to other locations, with the next profitable pelts. The 5 most expensive pelts in order are; bear, beaver, elk, wolf, deer. I always have these hides laying around from hunting I've already done, so these add thousands to my profit while I'm waiting for my first convoy to return.
